About Us
We at Frenzel Beefmasters would like to thank you for visiting our site!
Frenzel Beefmasters is located in Temple, TX and has been in the registered
Beefmaster business for 27 years.  Our program is truly based on performance
and production.  While some breeders also claim that they follow the six
essentials and have performance tested cattle, we produce the results.

Goal:

The goal at Frenzel Beefmasters is to produce efficient animals in a realistic
environment and management program.  We are committed to producing functional
cattle that will work for our customers no matter what the location.   Our genetics can be
found in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Kansas, Mississippi, Nevada,
Texas, Mexico and South Africa.   Please note the clean underlines, thick muscling and
good udders that our cattle posses.

Program:

Frenzel Beefmasters has a 90-day spring breeding season starting January 1st and
ending March 31st.  Also, Frenzel Brothers Beefmasters has a Fall breeding season of
90 days starting in September.  Having this split breeding season enables us to utilize
our herd bulls in two calf crops a year.  Heifers are bred to calve at two years of age
and breed back every year in the 90-day season.  Any cow that does not breed is
removed from the cow herd once her calf is weaned.  No cow is ever moved from one
breeding season to the other. Our herd bulls are only selected from programs that
emphasize performance testing and have controlled breeding seasons.  A large
majority of our herd bulls come from the Lasater and L Bar herds.  These are the
foundation herds of the Beefmaster breed.  We record BW, WW and YW, on every
animal.

Market:

Frenzel Beefmasters sells most of its bulls through the "Beef On Forage" Beefmaster
bull sale managed by Gary Frenzel.  This is a performance-based program that runs
the bulls together in a contemporary group for 300 days.  The bulls are run on grass
with weights taken periodically for performance evaluation.  The bull sale is held on the
third Saturday of October in Brenham,TX.  The 2010 test currently has 160 bulls.

Females and other bulls are marketed through private treaty sales at the ranch.

Why use Frenzel Beefmasters?

We are continually testing, and selecting performance-tested bulls. By doing this we
know that we are producing cattle with a superior ability to convert forage into pounds.
Breeders will benefit from these genetics by the added pounds in their calf crop.  By
having a controlled breeding season, we will eliminate any infertile cows that may exist.
We continually strive to improve underlines and muscling in our cattle.
